Another Day, Another Door Slam 🚪
In all seriousness, guys this has to stop.❌😒😑😑
**edit to note: this happens at least 3-4 times a day lol definitely not new but the door slam was a new one**
Today, a man came into the store with his daughter and went straight to the washroom. This wasn’t the first time- he’s done it several times before, always using the bathroom and leaving without ever buying anything. He didn’t greet us, didn’t acknowledge our greeting, just walked straight in.
A few minutes later, he came out and casually said: “By the way, I knocked the paper towel dispenser off the wall.” My father replied: “You did that and you’re not even going to buy anything?” At that, the man exploded, yelling: “You greedy scumbag! What, I can’t use the washroom?”
*** the washroom that clearly says for customers only on it?*** 🫢🤔😮
My father stayed calm, explaining that running the washroom costs us money (our holding tank costs $500–600 to empty), and it’s common courtesy to make a purchase if you’re going to use it. The man ignored that, turned to another customer, and said angrily: “You shouldn’t buy anything here, sir,” before storming out with his daughter and slamming the door behind him.
Moments later, he came back into the store RECORDING my father, hurling more insults.
My father calmly repeated himself, but the man stopped recording once he realized how foolish he looked. He then turned to my mother, sneering: “Is this your husband? He’s a horrible man. Do you really agree with him?” My mother replied: “We’re a small business. If people don’t buy anything, the store doesn’t exist.”
His response? “You’re all greedy pieces of s**t. F**k you. You’re lucky my daughter is here.” He stormed out again, slamming the door a second time alerting us that he would be telling everyone about this.
…🤔about what? You not reading the sign that says customers only and then having a fit when someone asks if you are going to purchase something?
Shortly after, he called the store asking if he could “come in and use the bathroom.” I told him: “Seriously? You’re a loser, dude.” He hung up. When I called back to explain that this is our way of making income, he complained about being a single father, then ended the call with another bitter: “F**k you!”
We are not greedy. We often give things away freely. But we cannot survive if people only take and never support us. For 3 years, we’ve worked 14+ hours a day serving our community. All we ask is the same in return: support, respect, and understanding.
And not to mention — he had his daughter with him through all of this. Maybe next time, set a better example for your child instead of teaching her that slamming doors, breaking things, and screaming at strangers is how adults behave.
Sad that I’m putting this reminder out for grown adults but let’s not damage other peoples property, and threaten them. That would be great😁
Thank you to everyone who continues to support us, you’re the reason this store is still here!!
