10 years ago today, our day started like any other at the store. Then, late that afternoon, the most unimaginable thing happened, and our lives changed in an instant. Clearwater Market had been destroyed in a fire.

After taking a few days to process what had happened, the four of us gathered for dinner (and a lot of wine) to discuss our next steps. We agreed that this wasn't the end—it was the beginning of something new.

From the day of the fire to reopening, it was a solid 11 months filled with countless questions that needed answering, decisions that needed to be made and many moments of chaos. Running a store is one thing; rebuilding it is a whole different story.

Looking back now, we couldn't be more grateful and humbled by the incredible support we received from our family, friends, and customers—then and now. ❤️

A decade later & from the bottom of our hearts, we want to take a moment to recognize this day and thank everyone who helped turn our tragedy into something truly spectacular.

Looking to kick off the May long weekend with a fun-filled event? We've got you covered. Join us for our annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 16th at Clearwater Bay Fire Hall from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This year's event will feature live demonstrations of the Jaws of Life and interactive water play with one of our pumpers. We hope to see you there.

The wedding was absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend! A huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers for your understanding and continued support as we operated with altered hours.

A special shoutout to our incredible staff who went above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly in our absence. Your dedication and hard work truly made all the difference.

Due to an upcoming family wedding and limited staff we have some modified store hours next week:

Sept 10th 7am- 4pm
Sept 11th 8am- 4pm
Sept 12th 8am- 4pm
Sept 13th 7am- 8pm
Sept 14th 7am- 8pm
Sept 15th 8am- 4pm

Fall hours of 7am- 8pm 7 days a week will resume Sept 16th

We had a very happy start to the September Long weekend!!

Ryzhyk had been missing since July 21st and while there was multiple sightings of him behind the store, we weren't able to catch him until August 17th!

Our staff had then generously taken Ryzhyk in until his owner, who is a Truck Driver was able to come back for him and we are SO happy to share this reunion!!

We also want to take this time to thank all of our Summer staff, residents and visitors for another wonderful season!

Store hours for the long weekend:

Friday August 29th 7am- 9pm
Saturday August 30th 7am- 9pm
Sunday August 31st 7am- 8pm
Monday Sept 1st 7am- 8pm

Summer Slow Down, Summer Slow Down, Summer Please Slow Down.. no matter how many times we say it unfortunately our Summer and Summer Staff will be leaving us shortly

We are looking to fill the following positions starting immediately (full-time and/or part-time available)

*Cook/Kitchen Prep
Duties include (but not limited to):
- prepare customers menu to-go orders
- keep sandwich & sub cooler stocked
- make homemade treats
- maintain organized and clean work area
(Shifts are 7am- 3pm.. starting wage $19 with room to grow)

*Closing Shift Supervisor
Duties include (but not limited to):
- responsible for ensuring closing duties are completed at the end of the day
- assist and oversee cashiers
- receiving and stocking inventory
(Shifts are 1pm- 9pm.. earlier closing time after the September long weekend.. starting wage $19 with room to grow)

UPDATE (8:35 a.m. CDT): Highway 11 remains closed in both directions at Rock Ridge Road, Kenora due to a two-vehicle collision involving a semi truck and an SUV. Two individuals have been transported to hospital. Expect lengthy closures and avoid the area. ^pia
