RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT from DELIGHTFULLY DIFFERENT TEA ROOM.
To the Kingston community:
After more than 30 years serving downtown Kingston through Delightfully Different Tea Room, Tea House and the original Café, I have made the decision to RETIRE and close this chapter of my professional life.
Over the past three decades, Delightfully Different operated from three different downtown locations and had the privilege of becoming part of Kingston's evolving business and vibrant cultural community. It has been an honour to serve residents, tourists, artists, students, families and the many loyal patrons who supported the businesses throughout the years.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to this journey and helped make Delightfully Different what it became...a place for gathering, sharing, visiting and enjoying delicious tasty morsels!
Special thanks are owed to my kind neighbors, Dave and Wendy of Martello Alley for their friendship, support and positive presence over the years, as well as to Antique Alley and the many neighboring businesses along the Wellington corridor who helped foster such strong and welcoming downtown community.
Although I am retiring from serving the public, this transition also marks the beginning of a new project! I will be spending time reflecting on these colorful years through the development of a MEMOIR and RECIPE BOOK inspired by the experiences, people and stories that shaped my businesses.
