SALE! All our restaurant assets are being sold the week
of April 16-22! Too much to list so dm (message us) for full inventory list, photos, and prices . Major equipment includes:
-high temp, sanitizing, under counter, commercial dishwasher
-30 cubic ft stainless refrigerator - LG
-30” black/stainless steel electric range with convection oven.
-large deep freeze
-Microwave
-commercial conveyor toaster
-stainless steel commercial sandwich fridge
Summer time needs- we have gazebos, teak patio set & 2 round teak tables, chairs, folding (green) chairs, plastic arm chairs, string lights, planters.
Coffee equipment from espresso machines, grinders, mugs, large cappuccino cups, glassware, bistro chalkboards.
Kitchen supplies of mixers, blenders, waffle irons, cutlery, plates of all sizes , bowls, glassware, barware, small wares & all baking supplies! If you need it for your kitchen, we have it! 😉
Items will also be put for sale on marketplace!
All items are in storage by the airport and times can be arranged for pickup or looking during the week of April 16-21! SHARE with friends and especially those who may be needing restaurant equipment.

As most of you are aware our lease was terminated on the basis of construction in 2022.

We were wanting to reopen this 2023 year and continue negotiating a lease but the board of the Lake Country Heritage & Cultural Society decided to go in another direction.

We learned by a public RFP (request for proposals) the society is making the availability of leasing the cafe space open to anyone who would like to apply and will award the deserving party with a lease!

It is insulting and ridiculous to now ask us to present a proposal for consideration on who we are (apparently we are easily forgotten ), our experience ( running a successful cafe for 3 years in the space ), previous landlord ( uhmm… the museum) or why we want the space (when the lease was terminated through no fault of our own while negotiating in good faith)!

So, it is sad for me to announce that I will not be putting forth a proposal for consideration for a new lease! The terms are restrictive (only one 5 month season), I no longer trust or have a good relationship with the society, I question the fairness of the proposal process and it’s time to let go and move forward after putting our lives on hold for over a year!

We will always be proud of the space we created for the community, and proud of how well we represented ourselves and the museum! It’s a shame the society lacked the vision to see we could’ve built something amazing together for the community for years to come.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who made our 3 years running the cafe an amazing success! We made great memories and great friends and we will miss you all!

Today would have been opening day for the cafe and the start of a new season!
We are all missing being there and seeing all the familiar faces of our guests and friends.
For those who aren’t aware, our lease was terminated by the museum board on the basis of construction and there is no OK Patio cafe.
What is your favourite memory of opening day? The food Tom and Hunter prepared? Alfonso, Jen and Kyra ready to greet you? What did it mean to you to have us open the cafe up again for another season? It is with great sadness that I announce our lease for OK Patio Cafe was terminated by the lake country museum board on the basis of construction.

While we try to remain hopeful to continue negotiations to open our cafe again in following years, this year there will be no OK Patio Cafe!

I am proud of the café we built over the last 3 years & I am proud to have provided a place for the community to enjoy great food & coffee with family and friends, in a beautiful, friendly atmosphere!

I am extremely grateful to all our local suppliers & growers we worked with and would like to thank you for contributing to our success.

I am already feeling an emptiness of not being in the Centre to get the café ready for a new season.

I would like to ask the community for support & to reach out to the museum. ([email protected]) Let the board know your memories, share your favourite menu item or theme, express why you enjoyed having us own the cafe, and express your wishes for us to return & continue to run a cafe at the LC Museum.

Alfonso and I have always appreciated the communities patronage and how you made us feel welcomed and loved. We, along with our staff Jen, Kyra, & Hunter, will truly miss you this summer!
