We are writing today with profound sadness to announce the passing of a beloved member of our Luigis family, Shawn Orlesky

For more than two decades, Shawn was a cornerstone of Lugis. At 47, his sudden passing has left us all in shock and with a deep sense of loss. He was the smiling face that greeted you, the friend who remembered the details of your life, and the colleague who brought laughter and light to every shift.

As my 12 year old son Otto said “he was the Goat.” He was more than a team member, he was family. He was there for our biggest life moments and brought joy to countless staff and customers with his infectious smile and genuine care for others.

He was a part of my family's most important moments. I will forever cherish the memories we made with him both inside and outside these walls. He was loved by staff and customers alike, and we know many of you are grieving with us. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family and all who loved him.

In accordance with his family’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honour him, and he will be laid to rest in his beloved hometown of Wetaskiwin.

Rest in peace, You will be forever missed.
