This was very hard to post and hopefully you can understand …. We would like to let all our customers know that we will be temporarily suspending operations at our egerton east location only until further notice. PLEASE NOTE, The west5 location ( 1866 oxford st) will be business as usual. OPEN EVERDAY FROM 4PM
Regrettably, staffing has reached a critical point where I cannot be at 2 locations at the same TIME each day. I relied heavily on my dad to oversee whichever location i was not at, but his business travel now has him away most of the summer.
We are not a cookie cutter operation. We build orders to customer requests and when we are unable to oversee and manage those orders every step of the way, the consistency and the quality suffers and that is not acceptable. Not for us and certainly not for you.
As you know, we recently made a big decision to remove Uber , again due to the lack of concern by uber head office themselves. When we communicate with them on an issue regarding their drivers their answer is always the same " they are not employees. They are independent contractors and therefore we cannot demand things such as mandatory insulated bags and dress code. These are things between your business and the driver. It is unfair to group all drivers together but when the majority do not respect our business and ultimately our customer , then we must make tough decisions.
Therefore, starting Monday june 19th, the east location at 460 egerton st will be temporarily closed for a minimum 2 weeks as we look to hire, train and retrain staff as well as introducing our online ordering system and setting up our own delivery service.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and during this shutdown, we will be delivering from our west5 location .
Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you updated on when egerton east will be re-openning.
