Hello again to all friends and clients of the former Windy's Diner and followers of our namesake, Gene Winfield. This photo is Gene celebrating his 90th Birthday with us in Medicine Hat and today is his 96th. Please feel free to wish him a Happy Birthday today, and I am hopeful that we can all share his milestone 100th too.
Miss you all.

Well we are approaching our first year anniversary of our closure and just want all of you to know you are dearly missed. If it is God's will, we will one day meet again. Until then I pray for you to be safe, happy and prosperous.

It is with much sadness that I announce the PERMANENT CLOSURE of WINDY'S DINER.
I gave over 4 years of my life, countless hours and funds and much love in the attempt to bring a HAPPY PLACE for Hatters to enjoy, but could not QUITE make it to the FINISH LINE.
I owe a debt of gratitude to all of my faithful friends and clients for your support through the years, especially my wife, Mimi, for standing strong and supporting my dream.
May God bless you all and bring you a great future.
I will have the memories forever.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!
I will miss you all.

Just wanted to put it out there that Windy's Diner has always, and will always offer our first responders attending in uniform will be given a complimentary ice cream cone and we encourage our staff to refuse payment. These people are behind us, risking their lives every day to serve the community and deserve a small token of appreciation where possible.

A fantastic 3rd day open.
Thank you to all of our loyal friends and customers for your heart felt support and it's great to see a lot of new faces too!!
Every time someone walks through our doors it brightens the day and eases the pain of the past couple of months. I see a bright future for the New Windy's Diner and days of enjoyment for our friends and customers.
Once again, I say Thank you, and hope to see more of you in the future.
Side note:. We are working on getting the kitchen open as soon as possible.
We are currently open from 11AM till 8PM Monday through Saturday and 11AM till 6PM on Sunday.
Our hours will get longer as the Covid19 restrictions ease up.
