It is with deep sadness we share the sudden passing of one of our own, Christina, known warmly to so many as Chris or Chrissy.

Chrissy was a beloved member of our workplace, bringing a gentle kindness, sweet spirit, and great humour to our entire Minden community. To many of us, she was far more than a coworker; she was a true friend loved dearly by everyone who worked alongside her.

Chrissy wove her warmth and energy so deeply into our lives that she will always be a part of us. Early this morning, as these words were being written, the sky filled with a stunning sunrise. It felt like a peaceful reminder of the light she gave to the world, and though our days feel incredibly quiet and empty without her, we are holding onto the beautiful ways she made all of our lives brighter.

Please keep her loving husband, Mike, and all of Chris's family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this incredibly difficult time.

Rest peacefully, sweet soul. You will be deeply missed by everyone who knew you, and held in our hearts forever. 🤍🕊️

— It was a blast having the Lock N’ Roll crew take over the Boathouse for an X-Wing tournament this past weekend! These players do an incredible job promoting the game and building the community, so it was extra special to host their very first Minden event.

With the new season starting, it was good to get the room back in use after a quick refresh to the flooring. While the Boathouse still stays pretty cool in the evenings this time of year, the daytime sun made it a great spot for the tournament.

Thanks to the group for stopping by. It turns out a few pints is the perfect way for both sides of the galaxy to find some common ground!

Thursday is Meatloaf Day. Our fresh meatloaf comes out of the oven right around 4pm. Meatloaf is bacon wrapped with gravy and is served with your starch and vegetable. At 3/4 lb it's a good meal. And a good buy at $20 plus taxes. Drop in tonight!

Lower Menu Prices

Things are a bit uncertain these days. The war in Iran has led to higher oil prices. Climate changes have made some crops scarce. Plus, tariffs have made our food more expensive and less available.

We know everyone’s feeling the pinch.

We want to let you know that we’re doing our best to keep menu prices at the Dominion Hotel as affordable as we can. By creative sourcing and buying in large quantities, we’ve managed to lower the price of over 20 everyday items on our menu. We’ve also included some new lower-priced options. And we will continue to make menu adjustments where we can find economies.

Our staff works hard every day to ensure that the items you enjoy are of high quality, fair price and always available.

— The lights are back on and the kitchen is humming!

We are officially back from our winter break, and it feels wonderful to be back in the swing of things. Those two weeks to refresh and recharge were exactly what we needed, and walking back into the building today reminded us why we love what we do.

It was a treat to be greeted by such a full house on our first day back-shout out to the hockey crowd that stopped in and filled the pub with such great energy earlier!

The doors are open and we’ve truly missed seeing your faces, so come on in and pull up a chair. ❤️
