July Weeknight Rescue Visits

I’m opening a small handful of À La Minute in-home chef visits for July for families who could use a calmer dinner week.

This is a simple, low-pressure way to try having a chef in your home without committing to a full weekly service.

Here’s how it works:

I come to your kitchen, cook a fresh family dinner, and prep a second meal or mise en place so the next night is easier too.

You get:

• One fresh dinner cooked in your home
• Prep for a second dinner or easy next-day meal
• Simple reheating or finishing notes
• A cleaned-down kitchen before I leave
• A calmer fridge, and hopefully a calmer evening

This is especially helpful for busy parents, postpartum households, camp weeks, work-heavy weeks, or anyone who is tired of staring into the fridge at 5 p.m. with no emotional strength left.

Pricing starts at $250 plus groceries for a Dinner + Mise visit.

I send a grocery list ahead of time, you purchase the groceries, and I take care of the cooking in your home.

I’m based in Mississauga and currently serving select areas of the west GTA, including Oakville, Burlington, Clarkson, Port Credit, and nearby neighbourhoods depending on scheduling.

I only have a few July openings available, so if your household could use one good reset, send me a message and tell me a little about your family, your schedule, and what kind of food usually works best at home.

Warmly,
Chef Joshua

Postpartum weekly reset, tucked neatly into a family fridge.
This week’s cook was all about making the next few days feel lighter, warmer, and a little more manageable.
A stocked fridge, labelled meals, prepped vegetables, comforting proteins, quick noodles, snacks, and a few easy building blocks ready to go when the day gets busy.
Postpartum care does not always have to look grand. Sometimes it looks like opening the fridge and knowing dinner is already halfway handled.
A little warmth, a little order, and one less thing for tired parents to carry.

A high-protein fridge reset for the week ahead. 💪✨

Built around real life, long work days, busy evenings, training goals, and the constant battle against ordering takeout when energy runs low.

This week’s prep focused on balanced, flavour-forward meals with plenty of protein, fresh ingredients, and enough variety that the fridge still feels exciting a few days later. Everything cooked fresh in-home, portioned into glass containers, labelled, and ready to go.

There’s something deeply satisfying about opening a fully stocked fridge and knowing the hard part is already done.

Honestly, this is why I love doing what I do. Good food should make life feel easier, calmer, and a little more taken care of.

National BBQ Day feels a little bit like the unofficial start of summer around here.
The grills are waking up, butter is melting somewhere, smoke is curling into the evening air, and suddenly everybody remembers how good food tastes outside.
There’s just something special about fire, good company, cold drinks, and a grill loaded with far too much food because nobody ever plans “reasonable portions” on BBQ day.

Safe to say the season is officially on.

Now excuse me while I mentally marinate half the fridge. 🔥🥩
