The shop has been buzzing with creativity lately, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Over the last little while we’ve welcomed makers of all ages and confidence levels into the workshop. Together we’ve built mountain scenes, garden gnomes, custom house signs, Dice Dash boards (20 of them and counting!), and even a top-secret Oilers-themed name plaque that we’re dying to show off… but you’ll have to wait until late July for that reveal!

One of the best parts of creating is watching someone look at a pile of wood and think, “I can’t do that,” and then leave holding something they built with their own two hands.

Whether you’re a seasoned DIY’er, a curious beginner, or a kiddo looking for a fun project, there’s always room at the Mother Fudgers workbench.

Around here, we believe every piece of wood deserves a second chance at greatness.

Our signs aren’t made from perfect, straight-off-the-shelf lumber. They’re built from upcycled wood that’s already lived a life or two. That means you might find a crack, a knot, a bow, a twist, a dent, or a little extra character. Truth be told, that’s exactly why we love it.

We’re not in the business of making perfect wood. We’re in the business of giving forgotten wood a chance to live its best second life.

Every board we rescue is one less piece headed for the landfill, the burn pile, or a dusty corner where dreams go to die. We take the imperfect, the weathered, and the overlooked and turn it into something worth showing off on your front porch.

The only perfection we promise is creating something that’s perfectly you.

Because let’s be honest… if Mother Nature wasn’t worried about being perfect, neither are we.

A little crooked.
A little cracked.
A little salty.
A whole lot beautiful.

A bright pop of “come FN visit!” is making its way out of the Mother Fudgers shop this week.

We’re busy building custom house signs, and this beauty is one of five heading out the door. This one still needs a frame and a coat of weatherproofing, but she’s already turning heads.

The best part? We can customize the colours and add your address to make it uniquely yours. Whether you’re into bold and bright, farmhouse neutrals, lake-life blues, cabin vibes, or something completely cheeky and unexpected, we’ve got you covered.

Tonight was are reminder of how lucky l we are to make time for the people who matter?

A few appetizers, some lively libations, a highly competitive game of Dice Dash, and enough laughter to make my cheeks hurt. The best nights aren’t always the biggest ones—they’re the ones where nobody is in a rush, the stories keep flowing, and the memories make themselves.

Thank you Mack and Justin for a great night. And little lady, it was so much fun getting to know a little more of your personality. Watching you grow into your own person is pretty damn amazing, and I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble, adventures, and awesomeness you’ll get up to next.

Family isn’t about how many people are around the table. It’s about who is sitting there.

Now excuse me while I replay all the Dice Dash victories… and conveniently forget the losses.

One of our favourite local stops every spring and summer is Our Greenhouse

Step one of the workshop glow-up is officially DONE.

And who better to lay down the magic than ALFA Resin Werks Inc. Not only did I get to playfully harass three grown blue-collar men while they worked… but I got to fall back in love with the foundation of my workshop.

Look at this transformation. From tired and rough to damn, now we’re talking. Clean, sharp, tough, and ready for all the chaos, creativity, projects, and Mother Fudgers nonsense that happens in this space.

A workshop floor may not seem sexy… but tell me this isn’t workshop foreplay.

Big love to Alberta and his team for absolutely crushing it.

Attention to all the salty, spicy, over-caffeinated, emotionally supportive, carrying-too-much, exhausted-from-being-awesome humans… this one’s for you.

If your nervous system has been running on caffeine, chaos, sarcasm, and pure spite… maybe it’s time.

I’m heading to a sound bath tomorrow evening with Earth Harmony Sound and Wellness for a little reset, recalibration, and an hour of not answering questions, fixing problems, or holding everyone else together.

There are still some spots left, and honestly… some of you need this more than you need another coffee or rage-cleaning session.

Come get cozy. Breathe. Let the sound waves shake the bu****it loose. Reset your nervous system and remember you’re actually a human, not a customer service department with trauma and a to-do list.
