Welcome back to our wine series “By The Glass”!
Introducing some of Treadwell Cuisine’s most sought-after and celebrated bottles within our collection. Each week, we will feature a sommelier-picked bottle of wine from the Wine Cellar for your pleasure and enjoyment.
Featured this week: Daniel Lenko Syrah 2012
Few names carry more weight in Ontario wine than Daniel Lenko. Three generations of his family have farmed the Beamsville Bench since 1947. When Jancis Robinson MW blind tasted 70 Canadian wines in 2007, she called Lenko’s 2002 Syrah “truly outstanding”, the best red in the country.
His 2012 Syrah is the wine the world never got to taste. From a similarly warm, ripe vintage to that legendary 2002, just now released for the very first time, and the last Syrah Daniel Lenko will ever make!
