🍓☀️ One of my favorite signs that summer is almost here!

We picked up some beautiful, flavourful strawberries from our friends at Krause Berry Farms and they did not disappoint. Fresh, sweet, and packed with flavour.

So far I’ve enjoyed them with oatmeal, yogurt, and even in pie… but we’re just getting started. 😉🍓

Every jersey, slab, patch, autograph and memory in here has a story behind it. Late nights, card hunts, events, signings, grading submissions, and now finally building the ultimate hallway setup for the collection 🫡

The LEDs changed EVERYTHING 😂

Working with lately and the boys been putting in WORK in the kitchen 🫡🔥
Today was all about learning how to make proper omelettes. Simple skills turn into chef skills real quick when you stay consistent.

This one brought me right back to the old Lonsdale Quay Hotel breakfast line days… rocking 8 burners at once, flipping eggs nonstop through the rush 😮‍💨🍳

One of the best chefs I ever worked with told me:
“If you can’t cook a 15 cent egg, you ain’t cooking a $50 steak.” 💯

That lesson always stuck with me.
Now I’ve been fortunate enough to cook with some of the best chefs around turtle island, using some of the best and most expensive ingredients possible… but it all still comes back to mastering the basics first.

And now I get to pass those lessons down to the boys along the way ❤️🔥

From the classroom to the big stages across turtle island 🌎🪶

Today we had the chance to do a cooking demo with teachers in North Vancouver, sharing stories, culture and food through one of the most loved comfort foods… bannock. We talked about the word “bannock” having Scottish roots, while also recognizing that flat breads have existed in Indigenous cultures and communities all around the world long before baking powder ever made its way into kitchens.

We cooked fried and baked bannock with homemade blackberry jam, talked about preserved foods, community, travel and how food has always been a way to bring people together. From Vancouver to Montreal, Nova Scotia to the Big Apple in NYC, every journey has added to the story and knowledge I carry into the kitchen today.

Very thankful to learn from my ancestors, elders, community and some of the best chefs in the industry. Being able to pass that knowledge on to teachers, students and foodies is something I never take for granted 🫡❤️

Feeling amazing this year. Traveling across Turtle Island, sharing our food, sharing our stories, and staying connected to community every step of the way. From cooking in Times Square to filming content and hitting my longest ride yet… I truly can’t ask for anything else.

Love what I do. Grateful for every opportunity, every plate, every conversation, and every kilometre. We’re just getting started baby 🔥
