Dear Treehaus families,

And what great memories the past 1 ½ years have been.😊 It is with the heaviest, and most grateful, of hearts that we are announcing the permanent closure of Treehaus Teahaus effective May 1st. This very hard decision was not made overnight and after many conversations and considerations, and in light of COVID-19 circumstances, we needed to honour what feels right for ourselves, our families, and our community.

Treehaus was started as a passion project between two friends 👭🏻 who shared a love for children, learning and play.
💕YOU are the reason why we started Treehaus.
💕YOU are the foundation for the success of Treehaus.
💕YOU believed in us and trusted us to be a part of your families.
💕YOU encouraged us to believe and stay strong
💕And even more importantly, the laughter and chatter of your little ones filled the space with a magical dusting of childhood happiness
💗Every moment, every experience has shaped the Treehaus community that we all built together. Thank YOU!

As we are preparing for our closure, we will be selling items in the café such as toys, furniture etc. If you are interested, please email us at [email protected] or DM us.

Although our physical space will be gone, we continue to be available online and we love to hear from you. Stay safe and healthy dear friends, as we are all in this together.

Hello Treehaus families,

So much has changed since our last update and as of right now, BC has declared a state of emergency. In response to updates and advice from our provincial and federal leaders, our playcafe will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED for the foreseeable future, effective immediately.

Together with our community, we are doing our part to control and slow the spread of the virus. While we will miss seeing your little ones and hearing their laughter in our playspace, it is our social responsibility to be proactive during this unprecedented time.

To our families and friends, we gratefully thank you for your care and support. We will continue to provide updates via our social platforms and website. Self-care and kindness is more important now than ever. Let’s get through this together.

Hello from Treehaus Teahaus,

We would like to send a warm message to all our families during this adjustment period and let you know that we are thinking of you and your little ones. As this highly dynamic situation evolves, please be assured that we are monitoring and adapting our playcafe protocols to best serve our community.

Daily cleaning and sanitization procedures of our play areas, cafe & toys (incl. stuffed animals, pillows & blankets) have always been a part of our playcafé’s cleanliness protocol. We will continue to maintain this high standard of hygiene for all our little and big patrons. In addition to asking everyone to wash their hands prior to entering the play areas, we encourage the following:

Please keep your child home if he/she is showing any flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, etc. This policy will also apply to our staff
Practice proper hand hygiene by washing with hand and soap for 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizers when hand washing is not possible.
Reinforce the need to keep hands, toys, and other objects away from the eyes, mouth, and nose.
Practice good respiratory etiquette, including covering the mouth and nose during coughing or sneezing with a tissue or a flexed elbow, and properly disposing used tissues in the trash, followed by proper hand hygiene.

Our playcafe remains open until we are otherwise advised. As a registered nurse and educator, we are committed to following the guidance and advice from Health Canada, BCCDC and our provincial health agencies. We are grateful to have the opportunity to provide a clean, safe and comfortable place for our families during this time of uncertainty. Our 2-hour drop off occasional care is also available during our opening hours.

📿 Sensorial Activities for Preschoolers Mar 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th w/ different activities each day. Ideal for ages 3 - 5 years of age. Occurring between 3 - 5pm.

🗨️ Wisdom Wednesday Toddler Talk with Katrina Jenkins Mar 18th, between 1130am - 1230pm! Topics that will be discussed are early social skills, strategies for supporting your child’s use of language and more.

👶 Baby Kindermusik Thurs Mar 19th between 1130am - 1215pm. Drop-ins available for $18/class but subject to availability. Please call to check.
