The 2026 Oliver Sunshine Festival runs June 12–21, offering 10 days of events and activities for all ages that celebrate the best of life in the Oliver & District area.

The festival launches Friday, June 12, with the Smokeshow—a vibrant fundraiser at Oliver Community Park celebrating smoked food and local flavours. This year, Oliver and District Recreation has partnered with us at Firehall Brewery and the Smokeshow Food Collective with Oliver Eats Ltd. to present a long-table, charcoal fire-cooked communal dining experience featuring local craft beer, wine, and cider, lawn games, and live music from Vancouver’s 9-piece Big Easy Funk Ensemble.

Building on the success of 2025, organizers have refined the event based on community feedback. Instead of a tasting format, each ticket now includes a chef-curated, live-fire smoked dinner (drinks extra), served in a shared long-table setting.

“I’m excited about the whole meal experience,” says Derek Uhlemann of Oliver Eats and the Smokeshow Food Collective. “I think the community will be happy with the menu the Collective has put together and surprised by the portions.” To reduce waste, attendees are encouraged to bring their own plates and cutlery (dishwashing stations will be provided), or reusable dishware will be available for purchase.

Ticket holders can experience the pride of being a sponsor of the Sunshine Festival. Proceeds from the Smokeshow event support Oliver Family Days—a free community celebration on Sunday, June 14. As organizers like to say: Sunday is free…because Friday knows how to party! New in 2026: a discounted family ticket (up to 6 people) makes it easier for everyone to join the celebration. Advance tickets are available until June 11 at firehallbrewery.com/events.

The festival’s signature event, Oliver Family Days, runs from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on June 14, featuring activity stations, live performances, and food and market vendors—free for all ages. Throughout the festival, local organizations and businesses host heritage, sports, arts, and entertainment events across the community under the Sunshine Festival banner.

It's Week #10 of the Spring Season of Tuesday Trivia at Firehall Brewery! Here's the Theme Drop, and the low-down on how this all works!

Every Tuesday, fun-loving folks gather at 6:30pm for 2 rounds of 20 questions each, competing for $10/player in brewery vouchers! The team that accumulates the most points over the season scores $25/player and a spot on the Trivia Trophy! Maximum 4 players per team, and seating is first-come-first-serve.

One of the rounds is general trivia, and one is always themed, with the theme drop happening in advance. Here it is…

Firehall Brewery is hosting a FREE Musician SWAP & JAM this Saturday, May 30th from 2pm-6pm, with a jam session from 4pm-6pm. The South Okanagan has so much musical talent, so why not get us all together to buy, sell, swap, donate and jam!

We know you all have that pack of strings bought for the wrong guitar, the pedal that wasn't quite your vibe, or instruments you’ve been hoarding and waiting for the right moment to pass along, like the guitar you’ve been holding onto, or that synthesizer you’re over playing and looking for the right trade... well this is the moment you’ve been waiting for!

We would like to open up our outdoor space to all music enthusiasts. Bring anything music related you would like to sell, trade, donate, show off, or jam with. We will have tables set up for everyone to display their items, power for testing will be provided, and just to make it a little sweeter, there will be a table set up for donations. Donations will be given to the SOSS music program to help support the young musicians of Oliver.
