We are SOLD OUT folks !!

2026 Smokeshow (Sunshine Festival) is SOLD OUT! It's going to be an epic day, and we're very excited to see your 250 lovely faces tonight at 6pm. Please keep in mind:

- Dinner service is 6:30-8pm
- BYO plate & cutlery, OR purchase a reusable souvenir plate (prepaid plates can be picked up at the gate)
- Bring your ID
- No pets/bikes inside the festival grounds
- Credit/debit/cash are all accepted for the sale of drink tokens
- Tables are set out for dinner, but the park has lots of space to spread out after dinner for the Big Easy Funk Ensemble performance, so feel free to bring chairs and picnic blankets.

We would like to acknowledge the Oliver Fire Department for their cooperation and special permitting to allow the open fire pit we need for smokin' up all the amazing menu items (you can find the menu on our events page). The Smokeshow is the primary fundraiser party for the Sunshine Festival, with proceeds going directly to hosting the free Family Day in the Park this Sunday, June 14th.

The 2026 Oliver Sunshine Festival runs June 12–21, offering 10 days of events and activities for all ages that celebrate the best of life in the Oliver & District area.

The festival launches Friday, June 12, with the Smokeshow—a vibrant fundraiser at Oliver Community Park celebrating smoked food and local flavours. This year, Oliver and District Recreation has partnered with us at Firehall Brewery and the Smokeshow Food Collective with Oliver Eats Ltd. to present a long-table, charcoal fire-cooked communal dining experience featuring local craft beer, wine, and cider, lawn games, and live music from Vancouver’s 9-piece Big Easy Funk Ensemble.

Building on the success of 2025, organizers have refined the event based on community feedback. Instead of a tasting format, each ticket now includes a chef-curated, live-fire smoked dinner (drinks extra), served in a shared long-table setting.

“I’m excited about the whole meal experience,” says Derek Uhlemann of Oliver Eats and the Smokeshow Food Collective. “I think the community will be happy with the menu the Collective has put together and surprised by the portions.” To reduce waste, attendees are encouraged to bring their own plates and cutlery (dishwashing stations will be provided), or reusable dishware will be available for purchase.

Ticket holders can experience the pride of being a sponsor of the Sunshine Festival. Proceeds from the Smokeshow event support Oliver Family Days—a free community celebration on Sunday, June 14. As organizers like to say: Sunday is free…because Friday knows how to party! New in 2026: a discounted family ticket (up to 6 people) makes it easier for everyone to join the celebration. Advance tickets are available until June 11 at firehallbrewery.com/events.

The festival’s signature event, Oliver Family Days, runs from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on June 14, featuring activity stations, live performances, and food and market vendors—free for all ages. Throughout the festival, local organizations and businesses host heritage, sports, arts, and entertainment events across the community under the Sunshine Festival banner.
