Rasam goes viral in America for its immunity boosting abilities. The medicinal properties of Rasam came to light after award winning chef, Arun Rajadurai from Princeton, decided to supply it as a complimentary dish along with food to Covid-19 patients in three hospitals. Rasam is one of the staple dishes in South India. It's a bowl of comfort every South Indian can relate to. This soup is prepared with tomato, tamarind, curry leaves, ginger, black pepper and spices. Rasam is filled with vitamins, menirals and several other nutrients. The ingredients used to make Rasam are known for strengthening our immunity. Rasam is served as home-remedy for common cold and cough in India (Just like a bowl of soup or mixed with rice).
