On practically every calle, salizada and ruga in Venice, you’ll find a Bacaro – a casual place to grab a glass of wine or Prosecco and a bite to eat, known as “cichèti.”

Bacari are Italy’s answer to the pub, and cichèti are the Italian answer to Spanish tapas. Our Bacaro upholds the Italian tradition of togetherness. It’s the perfect place to meet friends after work, or to share a casual glass of sparkling wine and a small bite to eat.

Wine takeover night at North & Navy, Wednesday, June 17th

Join us for a by-the-glass takeover with sommeliers and , pouring the wines of Frédéric Brouca and sharing stories from the glass.

Brouca works out of a small winery in Laurens, just outside Faugères in the Languedoc, making fresh, vibrant wines with a more natural and honest way. A return to a more old-school, “grandparents’ ideology” of farming and winemaking. His approach is low-intervention, organic, unfined, unfiltered, and full of life. 

A casual, roaming kind of night. Book a seat on the patio, at the bar, or in the dining room and explore the wines at your own pace.

We’ll be offering a special flight of three wines with a bite or two, or you can simply order from the menu and drink what moves you.

A cocktail driven by Brucas Vermouth and pouring
Clair des Champs, a bright, light “rouge clair” somewhere between gastronomic rosé and chilled red full of flowers, red fruit and minerality. and Champs-Pentus which comes from old vines on the slopes, darker, textured, and full of wild southern French character.

A Night in the French Cellar

There are bottles made to be opened… and others meant to wait. On May 13th, we’ll be opening both.

Join us at North & Navy alongside sommelier Connor Gallagher (Master Sommelier candidate, founder of Cépages Wine School) for the second evening in our wine dinner series.

We’ll be digging into the cellar dusting off a selection of iconic French wines from Champagne, Bourgogne, the Rhône, and Bordeaux. Mature bottles, shaped by time, terroir, and patience.

Chef Adam and Eric will pair the lineup with a five-course Northern Italian tasting menu, designed to complement and elevate each glass.

A rare opportunity to experience older French wines in their prime.
