Well, 28 years has flown by like the blink of an eye! Working with my daughter and granddaughter almost every day made it not seem like work at all, no matter how busy or how challenging the day was.
Selena, we are a great team. There wasnโt one day that wasnโt the best day ever with you by my side.
Taisley, what could be better than your granddaughter walking through the back door almost every day and being so happy to see you. You have been the best sidekick we couldโve ever asked for. You are patient, loving, kind and have already learned so many work ethics along our side. I will miss you being there on a daily basis beyond words.
As Selena has said over and over -if she lived in OYEN this place would NEVER be for sale! I have met so many great, wonderful people along the way and made countless great new friends. I have said many times, โI could live at my work if there was a shower in the building and nothing else going on in my life. I could live and breathe it. I love my job.โ Meeting all of you and helping so many people every day is what makes my heart full.
Tyson and Spike:
Darin, you have been my rock through it all. Thank you for the unconditional love and help along the way, I am so lucky to have you by my side . I will greatly miss Tyson bombing through the back door, telling me his countless stories and looking for a special drink or โhey mom, have you got anything to eat around hereโ lol -thank you so much Tyson for all your help and support throughout the years, I couldnโt have done it without your positive attitude and the fun that you brought to the store.
To my friends and family:
Your visits, your kindness, your smiles have made it nearly impossible for me to leave this chapter of my life. Leaving all of this is one of the hardest things Iโve ever had to do. I could write a book, or a series of books, on all the goodness this job and YOU have all brought me and my family.
Thank you to you all for putting your trust in me for so many years. My motto was always to do the best job I could possibly do and I hope it worked for you.
