We stopped into The Pie Bar - Pies | French Pastries | Sourdough on Thursday as Stacy prepared her Blondie Croissants for Albinism. An initiative honouring her son Harvey and children navigating vision loss in their early year
While watching Stacey pour her efforts and love into each pastry we realized something beautiful. One person was given the diagnosis most would see as a hinderance, but Stacey and Harvey flipped the script, turning it into an opportunity to inspire.
So just know, when you purchase a blondie croissant, you are not just giving to a foundation. By supporting the vision loss rehabilition Canada’s early intervention PROGRAMs, You’re helping families like Stacey’s and little ones like Harvey navigate our big and beautiful world.
June 13th was International Albinism Awareness Day, but if you missed picking up some past Erie’s yesterday don’t worry, the limited-edition Blondie Croissants will be available at Coutts and participating locations throughout our community!
100% of profits will be donated to CNIB to help provide vision aids and accessibility tools for children with vision loss, including:

* Task lighting
* Reading guides
* Large-print and tactile learning materials
* Classroom accessibility tools
* Accessibility technology
* Low vision sports equipment
* White canes and mobility resources
