I still remember watching Chuck Hughes on Iron Chef America battle and beat Bobby Flay with his Lobster Poutine. I swear, it felt like every Montreal chef won that day!

So it was really special to finally meet him as he celebrates 20 years of Garde Manger and the launch of his new cookbook!!!

But what impressed me just as much was his team. What an incredible brigade! Talented, kind, and genuinely happy. The kind of kitchen anyone would want to work in.

Restaurant life is hard work, but having a positive team makes all the difference. And you don't build a team like that without great leaders like Chuck and Chef Chris.

One of the first things I noticed in the cookbook was a section dedicated to the staff, where they got to share their own recipes. That says a lot about the people running this place. And those are the first recipes I'm going to try!

Congratulations to Chuck, Chris, Dave, Tim, and the entire Garde Manger crew. Thank you for such a memorable evening ❤️

Stopped by Jack Flat BBQ to visit Darren and the team!

We've had our Vivaldi Christmas party there three years in a row, and there's a reason we keep going back. The food is amazing, but the atmosphere is even better, especially if you're a country music lover like me 🤠
