Sunset Dining Room The Dalhousie Yacht Club Sunset Dining Room and Lounge has a tradition of welcoming members and guests for over 50 years.

Our Focus is on eating well with interesting, fresh and local foods served in the comfortable, welcoming and nautical atmosphere of our waterside dining room, lounge and patio. Our sunsets are unrivalled in the Niagara Region.

We are looking for the right person to join our team as a server. Hours will vary between 20-30 per week 11 months of the year. Smart serve required, experience is an asset but willing to train.

Staff is responsible for tasks such as taking orders, recommending dishes based on guests' tastes and preferences, delivering food to the tables, accepting payments as well as ensuring an outstanding guest experience at all times, opening and closing of the restaurant.

We are looking for a professional and friendly staff to join our team! Your main goal in this position should be to ensure the highest level of clients' satisfaction and provide an outstanding customer experience.

Wait Staff duties and responsibilities:

Welcome customers and lead them to their seats
Introduce our menus and describe different dishes and drinks
Make recommendations on specialties
Take orders
Deliver orders to the table in a timely manner
Adhere to food, sanitary and safety standards
Knowledgeable about wine
Identify and resolve any special requirements, wants and needs of customers
Deliver checks and accept payment
Collaborate closely with other staff members
Be able to work is a fast moving environment
Wait Staff requirements and qualifications

2 years of experience as a wait staff or similar role
Knowledge of cash register and any ordering information system
Customer oriented approach
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Patient problem solver
Full availability on Friday and Saturday evenings
Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.20 /hour
