As many of you know, The Port Shores will not be reopening and the business is now for sale. We wanted to share a few important notes with our community:

• We will not be open for the 2026 season
• If you have a gift certificate with a remaining balance, please contact Tom and Ruthann at [email protected]
• Gift certificates must be presented in person, and the remaining balance will be confirmed at that time, please reach out to arrange a time to meet.

After much reflection, deep thought, and long consideration, we’ve made the decision to retire.

This was not an easy choice, and it comes with many mixed emotions for us.

For the past eight years serving this community — cottagers, locals and visitors alike — has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. We’ve watched families return summer after summer, stories shared over the counter, and celebrated milestones together. What began as a business became so much more.

The truth is, at our age, the growing demands of our business has taken its toll on both of us. We’ve reached a point where we need to slow down, step back while we can, and make time for our family and for a different pace of life.

What we’ll miss most is you. The customers who became regulars. The regulars who became friends. And the friends who now feel like family.

Thank you for making these last eight years unforgettable. We will cherish all the memories we’ve made for years to come.
