Thanks to you, our wonderful community of customers and neighbours, we’ve raised $462 for Kind Space through the sales of rainbow layer cake slices!

It may be the last day of Pride Month, but the need for social services and community support for 2SLGBTQ+ persons is year-round. Funding challenges for the handful of organizations providing essential support to the people in our communities are ongoing, and the demand for services is increasing.

If you are in a position of financial privilege, please donate to Kind Space or another organization that provides resources and support - you may consider Ottawa Trans Library, Rainbow Railroad, Camp Ten Oaks, or your local library.

Thanks for helping us raise this money! It means the world to have such a great community around this little business.

Greely, you’re in for a treat! We’re bringing, BBQ jackfruit sandwiches to the market this week! It’s like pulled pork, slow cooked in our scratch-made BBQ sauce, except it’s meatless.

As usual, we’ll also have:

🥓 breakfast sandwiches (both meat and vegan options)
🍪 Ferrero rocher cookies
🍪 pretzel and m&m cookies
😋 s’mores cereal bars

Everybody makes mistakes, ours happen to be delicious.

We accidentally made a big batch of our Ferrero Rocher stuffed, chocolate chunk cookies with flaky salt on top. We also baked them a little longer than our usual, soft cookies.

They’re actually so good, they’re just not a regular item. Our mistake is your gain! Come get a big, salty sweet, stuffed cookie with a toothsome bite for only $2

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of spending any part of your summer on PEI, you know this tasty bev.

I was delighted to happen upon a case of it at one of our restaurant suppliers in Ontario and just had to get it for the café!

I hope you like this little bit of east coast Canadiana.

You may have noticed that we have new art on our walls!
We’re proud to feature the works of two artists this summer, including Randy Cummins aka .

Randy immigrated from the United States in 2007 and has always used art to convey his emotions. His work is very expressive and fun! He discovered that drawing and painting can be a safe place to use as an outlet while serving in the US Navy in his twenties.

When asked about his art, Randy shares, “This artwork is something I’m very proud of as it was created after i discovered I have ADHD and a friend suggested I get some of my work out there.”

The detail and subtleties of these pieces need to be experienced in person.

Purchases of Randy’s original paintings can be coordinated directly with the artist, to be picked up upon completion of the show, at the beginning of September.
