Sesame Chicken Noodle Salad (鸡丝凉面 jī sī liáng miàn) is coming to Mimimi this Wednesday, June 3 at lunch!

This was my absolute favorite summer dish growing up. Before putting it on the menu, I called my mom to tell her. She said she’s happy people in Canada will get to try her noodles, and then told me I better make it even better than hers. Haha, no pressure.

Chilled noodles with sesame dressing, shredded chicken, and lots of fresh, crisp veggies. Kind of like a noodle salad, but better.

Perfect for warm days when you want something light but still satisfying. Hope you enjoy it as much as I always have :-)

This is a Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Bailliage de New Brunswick event hosted at MiMiMi Restaurant, open to Chaîne members, their families, and guests who may be interested in joining this international culinary community.

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Bailliage de New Brunswick is composed of outstanding chefs and refined gastronomes from across the province. Each year, we organize multiple gastronomic dinners and wine events in different locations throughout New Brunswick.

Last night we hosted our tenth and final Chinese New Year Dinner. Ending on Lantern Festival night felt like the perfect way to close this beautiful chapter.

Even yesterday, people were still calling to see if we could add more dates. I am truly grateful for that, but after two full weeks, it was time for us to move forward.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who travelled to join us. Guests came from all across New Brunswick, as well as Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, Maine, and even Alberta. We are just a small restaurant in Saint John, not even uptown, so to have you choose us makes us incredibly proud. Thank you for the encouragement and support.

To those who could not get a reservation, and to those who had to cancel, thank you for your enthusiasm. We host similar dinners three or four times a year, so there will be many more chances to gather around the table together.

We also want to apologize to anyone who stopped by for our regular menu or called for takeout during the dinner series and could not be accommodated. Thank you for your patience.

As of today, we are back to regular service. We look forward to welcoming you in and answering your calls again.

With the snow and wind today, we want to sincerely thank all guests who have reserved our Chinese New Year Dinner and are still planning to join us. We truly appreciate your support. Please drive carefully and travel safely. Your safety means everything to us.

For those who have cancelled because of the weather, we completely understand and look forward to welcoming you another time.

Please note that on Feb 23–26 (Mon–Thu) and Mar 2–3 (Mon–Tue), from 4–9 pm, we are serving Chinese New Year Dinner only and cannot accept regular reservations, walk ins, or takeout. Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe.

Our 7-Course Chinese New Year Dinner will be held at 6:00 PM on Feb 9–12 (Mon–Thu), Feb 23–26 (Mon–Thu), and Mar 2–3 (Mon–Tue). On these dates, we will not accept regular reservations or walk ins from 4:00–9:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding.

We will be closed Feb 15–18 (Sun–Wed) for Family Day and the Lunar New Year. We are open as usual with our regular menu on Feb 13–14 (Fri–Sat), Feb 19–21 (Thu–Sat), and Feb 27–28 (Fri–Sat).

We can’t thank you enough for the incredible interest in our 7-course Chinese New Year Dinner. It truly means a great deal to our team. We are grateful to share our food and traditions with New Brunswick and proud to be part of a diverse and welcoming Saint John.
