In early European traditions, especially in Germany, the egg-bringer was a bird called the “Easter Hare” .. over time, the 🐇hare🐇(a symbol of fertility) took over the egg-delivery duties, & when German immigrants brought the tradition to North America, it evolved into the modern bunny we know from Easter 🐰🐣🐰
