Denial. That’s a tough word to swallow, but it’s a state I’ve been stuck in lately. I’m such a firm believer that moms can do it all. That women can do it all. We are freaking amazing. But when things started to get really hard on my mental health a few months ago, when it started to affect my relationships, kids and life in a way I couldn’t manage anymore, I stayed stuck in that denial, and I can’t do that anymore.
I always wanted to work for myself - the dream right? It turns out the dream was actually working for all of you. Being here to see you thrive in your parenting roles, watching your kids grow from in the womb to babies to toddlers, and watching so many of you grow alongside them. This space is such a privilege to run. I have truly been honored.
I have taken a lot of time to sit back and reflect on BabyBean, my capacity, where my family is at and what they need. They really need their mom - at her highest capacity, in her best mood, present and capable of giving them every ounce of love they deserve. It’s so incredibly difficult to contemplate a future where the two things I am most passionate about are now tugging my heart in two different directions.
With that being said, it’s with a whole lot of difficulty and more denial I announce our last day of business will be August 29, 2026. As heartbreaking as this is for us and so many of you, I know in my heart this is the right decision for my family. Babybean has always been built around supporting families, and now it’s time for me to give mine the same care I’ve spent the last few years pouring into everyone else’s.
