Capt. Mike's Takeout will unfortunately not open this weekend, but we will be open Monday to Friday.11-7
Saturday Aug 1st we will be coming to shelburne for the street dance.
People please give me some ideas of what you would like to see at this event for food.

Its still flood tide,should be high around noon and low around 5-6pm

Light nw wind and clear sky.
We are open and will be open until 7pm

We are open and laying on anchor by the beautiful Shelburne Harbour.

We'll be here until 7pm

Well i got home from Lockeport, even though it wasn't the nicest weather wise,with abit of rain it was still a great day. Thank you Lockeport for having us down!!
Lockeport is really a little gem on the south shore!
Today was a cleaning day at Capt Mike's, and that's what I did.
Frank Christie and Roland came in today and built a boarder fence, great job and just great old school friends and workers.
The view never gets old here,and I only got 2 more opening days before I have to go back to sea.

So in saying that we are open tomorrow and Saturday, then that's it for this time home ,,so if your out and about and looking for great food stop by.

Also ,I really would like to thank everyone that congratulated us on our first year of being open.

Thank you for supporting us.

So I guess the Capt will sign off tonight with.

Well I guess we'll let the lines go in the morning and steam down to the beautiful little town of Lockeport,
I'm pretty much sure I got everything lashed down good so ill jog along easy and meet the crew there,gona be a great day I hope for fine weather.

When I speak of things lashed down for some reason it reminds me of a night when I was on a very large supply ship, Scandi Flora, Google it big vessel.
Anyway we we're heading off shore to the drillship Ice Max.
I remember capt Harley Griffin coming up the gang way and saying to me gona be a hard night Mike. Yes I believe so skipper. Giving 50 plus
We had 289 plus ton of drill pipe on deck ,probably 900 ton of fuel on-board
Anyway we we're on our way ,long about supper time we had our 50 all right.
Going broad side to she went up on one and came down, and stayed down, the drill pipe shifted on us.
Not good,but we managed it and got back to port safely.
Now I dont have drill pipe on-board or much fuel,

But I got alot of burgers and great haddock and I think ill do just fine .lol

So we'll be laying on anchor in Lockeport the morning and all day,hope to see you there.

Its another beautiful day at Capt Mike's takeout,

Guess what? Today marks 1 year for this little takeout.
Its only a seasonal part time business, not a big business at all and probably never will be.

But we serve great food at competitive prices, it's just one of those little places that pop up on the south shore.

So today we are putting 2 piece fish and chips on for $22.00 taxes in.

We have some Mr freezes for kids

So if your in the area or looking to be out and about today and get a craving for fresh fish,stop by we're laying anchored up by beautiful shelburne Harbour 1557 sandy point.

I would really like to thank everyone that came out in the past year to support us.THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!
