Hello everyone,
We have been meaning to write this post for a few months now. We have been part of the Sherbrooke community for over 40 years, and this restaurant has been more than just a business it has been our home, our identity, and a cornerstone of our lives.
Since opening in 1980, The House of Jade has been a place where we’ve shared countless meals, celebrated family milestones, and built lasting memories with all of you. Our five children grew up in the restaurant, and for most of these years, we worked tirelessly, seven days a week, to serve the people of Sherbrooke.
This restaurant was always Dad’s pride and joy. It was his vision, his dream, and he poured his heart into every plate that left the kitchen. When he fell ill , it was Mom with the help of our brother, family and friends, who stepped in to keep the restaurant running, doing so with dedication and love. We can’t thank those enough ( you know who you are) for helping us keep the restaurant for as long as we did.
Now, with Dad’s passing, we’ve come to the painful realization that it’s time to let go. Our hearts are no longer in it, and the strength that once drove us forward is no longer there. While it is incredibly difficult to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that we’ve created something special together, with all of you.. It’s a testament to the commitment and love for the House of Jade that we kept going for as long as we did.
We take comfort in knowing that the memories we’ve created with you will remain with us forever.
Thank you to all of our loyal customers, past and present. You’ve become part of our family, and we are forever grateful for your support. The House of Jade may be closed, but it will forever be a part of us, and we will always hold it close in our hearts.
With sincere gratitude,
The Joe Family
