🚨 Early Closure Today 🚨

Unfortunately, we will be closing early today due to our air conditioning unit deciding that today was the day to call it quits.

With the ovens running, temperatures inside have reached over 90°F (32°C), making it unsafe for our staff to continue working in those conditions.

The good news is that a brand new A/C unit is being installed tomorrow, and we expect to be back open and operating as usual shortly afterward.

This certainly wasn’t the timing we were hoping for, but the health and safety of our team will always come first. We truly appreciate all of their hard work, especially on days like today.

A pretty cool moment for the Village Pantry this week

As some of you know, Tina and Curtis’ 9-5 is mortgage brokering. This week, they are attending a mortgage conference, and one of their lending partners, MCAP, chose our famous Village Pantry cinnamon buns to include in the welcome packages for conference attendees.

We believe there were over 100 cinnamon buns handed out to mortgage professionals from across the industry. It’s an incredible feeling to see a little piece of Spencerville shared on such a large scale.

It’s also become a bit of a tradition - everywhere Curtis and Tina go, people ask, “Did you bring the cinnamon buns?” This time, thanks to MCAP, the answer was yes! 😊

A huge thank you to MCAP for supporting local and giving so many people the chance to enjoy a taste of the Village Pantry.

The new pizza oven is officially up and running - just in time for Friday night Pizza 🍕🔥

Thank you everyone for your patience over the last little while while we dealt with all of the equipment issues. It has definitely been a stressful week on our end as well.

Please bear with us over the next few days as we get things dialed back in — cooking times and temperatures may take a little adjusting while we learn the new oven.

The bakers oven should also have the part in today, but we will confirm shortly once everything is installed and tested.

As many of you know, our main pizza oven decided to quit on us, so we’ve been getting by with our baking oven in the meantime. Unfortunately, that oven has now quit as well, and we are currently waiting on parts.

The good news - we have a brand new pizza oven being installed this Thursday and we’re hoping to be fully back to normal shortly after. 🍕

We sincerely apologize for all of the inconvenience over the last little while. Trust us, this has been a huge pain in the butt for us as well, and we’re doing everything we can to get things back up and running properly as soon as possible.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and support while we work through it. ❤️
