Part 3 • Starting Over

Moving to Alberta meant starting from zero again…

New place, new people, and no one really knew me or my food.

Back in BC, I had already built something through years of hard work, word of mouth, and amazing customers who supported me from the beginning.

Starting over was hard.

It was slow, and honestly… there were moments I felt like giving up.

I even thought about stopping and just focusing on my other job.

But deep down, something in me wasn’t ready to let this dream go 💙

Part 2 • Where It All Started

Cocina Sabrosa actually started back in Abbotsford, BC…

At first, I was just making empanadas and treats for family and friends, then for moms at my kids’ school…

And little by little, it grew through word of mouth.

Hot lunches, catering, weddings, quinceañeras… I just got busy, busy 💙

Looking back at these pictures brings back so many memories.

Long nights in the kitchen, lots of learning, lots of support, and so much love put into every order.

It all started with people trusting me… and I’ll never stop being grateful for that 💙

Hi, I’m the heart behind Cocina Sabrosa To Go.

I’m originally from Paraguay, and my husband is from Mexico… so yes, he’s my official taste tester, especially when it comes to anything spicy 🌶️

Looking back, I think cooking has always been part of who I am.
Even as a little girl, you could usually find me somewhere in the kitchen 💙

Cooking became my way of connecting, showing love, and bringing people together.

And this little business… it means more to me than you can imagine.
