Day 53 (yesterday): North Sydney, NS - St. John’s, NL

It will take awhile to adjust to not being on the move but it’s still always nice to get home.

Day 50: South Portland, ME - Bangor, ME
Day 51: Bangor, ME - Moncton, NB
Day 52 (today): Moncton, NB - North Sydney, NS

What an amazing adventure! We’re just now waiting to get on the ferry night crossing. Almost home 🙂.

It was great to go on an adventure but it will also be nice to get home. Looking forward to making big changes for 2024.

Day 49: Sturbridge, MA - South Portland, ME

Salem was fun place to check out. Lots of people dressed up. Would have taken more pictures but it was raining most of the time.

We’ll probably stay in Maine for another night. Weather definitely feels like home ☔️.

Day 48: Harrisburg, PA - Sturbridge, MA

Definitely more traffic jams on the east coast! Now that we’re in Massachusetts, it feels like we’re almost home.

If you have never had a donut, you’re missing out. They are the best donuts ever! Their coffee isn’t too bad either. You can even see the donuts being made in the store😋.

Dropping into Salem tomorrow and then up to Maine.

Today: Day 47: Raleigh, NC - Harrisburg, PA

Mostly driving days lately. Hope to stop in New England for a bit (we’ll see 🤷🏻‍♂️).

I’ll certainly miss those 25C+ fall days in the South.

Day 45: Nashville, TN - Knoxville, TN

Yesterday, we spent the morning touring the Belle Meade mansion in Nashville. An incredible place steeped in Confederate history.

I’ve never before felt the tremendous dichotomy between the lives of southern rich and the lives of southern slaves.

A couple of long driving days ahead.

Day 44: Collinsville, IL - Nashville, TN

Had a blast in Nashville today! There were great performers (& tasty bbq) all up and down Broadway. The windows were wide open, so you could stop and listen to all the bands.

Spending a little more time in music city tomorrow & then heading east.

Day 43: Hamilton, MO - Collinsville, IL

Lots of driving over the past two days. Norine (my wife) really enjoyed her shopping at Quilt Town, USA.

Leaving “The Gateway to the West” tomorrow. Driving further south for a little bit more (temps have consistently been ~25C!).

Will be making our way back north soon 😕.
