The Celebration of Life for my husband, Daniel Lelièvre “BakerDan” will take place this Sunday, March 1st, 2026. From 12 PM to 2 PM for the visitation, with the service to follow at 2 PM.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the Lelièvre family announces the passing of Daniel Lelièvre on the evening of February 1, 2026 at the Sudbury General Hospital. Baker Dan poured his heart into Chez Jean-Marc Bakery and Dan’s Place and he was a proud supporter and pillar of this community. His wife Jill and children William, Bree, Danica and Brynn, thank you for your support during this difficult time and appreciate your patience in the upcoming weeks.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse et le cœur lourd que la famille Lelièvre annonce le décès de Daniel Lelièvre, survenu en soirée le 1er février 2026 à l’Hôpital général de Sudbury.
Baker Dan, propriétaire de Chez Jean-Marc Bakery et Dan’s Place, était un fier partisan et pilier de notre communauté. Son épouse Jill ainsi que ses enfants William, Bree, Danica et Brynn vous remercient sincèrement pour votre soutien en ces moments difficiles et vous sont reconnaissants de votre patience au cours des prochaines semaines.

Happy Friday West Nipissing🙂
So many things going on here today at Dan's Place!!
Not only do we have great specials today, but we also have the continuation of the 2nd Annual Dan's Place 'Soup'er Bowl Playoffs. With Cream of Bacon taking on Philly Cheesesteak 🥣🏈🥣
We have our BOGO on all frozen soup, with many varieties to choose from. Its a great time to stock up 😉
Our Grab&Go Chicken Parm meal was so popular we have added more options. Today we have added Turkey and Roast Beef dinners. Served with mashed potatoes, gravy and a side of vegetables. Ready to take home for a delicious, quick and easy meal.

It's time for the 2nd Annual 'Soup'er Bowl Playoffs at Dan's Place!!
🏈🍔🥓🥩🍗📣🥣🏆🥣📣🥔🍄🥒🏈

Fridays and Saturdays this month, soup teams will go head to head to see who will win bragging rights of 'West Nipissing's most popular soup' at Dan's Place, and be featured as the Friday soup for a whole month!
During the month of December we asked you to vote for your favourite soups as our Regular Season Game play 🏈🥣🏈🥣🏈
We would like to give a shout out to all of the teams as voted by you:
Buttered Ginger Carrot, Lemon Pepper Chicken & Rice, Vegetable, Creamy Tomato, Loaded Potato, Mushroom Barley, Bean & Bacon, Roasted Red Pepper, Cream of Chicken, Beefy French Onion, Cheesy Ham & Potato, Dill Pickle, Maple Pumpkin , Creamy Spinach and Vegetable Beef!!
In the end though, it came down to: Minestrone, Country Pea, Harvest Vegetable, Turkey Noodle, Cream of Bacon, Beef Barley, Philly Cheesesteak and Cheeseburger!!

Game #1~ on Friday Jan 9th was a landslide victory for Harvest Vegetable🥣🎉🏈🎉🥣 They absolutely crushed Minestrone with a final score of 23-7. Harvest Vegetable will advance to the Semi-finals later this month.
