I often say the hardest part about running a business is putting out fires that come up...never have I meant it so literally!
First, thanks to our customers and staff who reacted so quickly to call 911 and help me get water on the fire while I ran around yelling at lot and not getting much done 😂!
Thank you to the Summerside Police for showing up with your fire extinguishers to put the fire out while I struggled with my to short hose and buckets!
And thank you to the Summerside Fire Department who came to make sure it was truly out!
Luckily, just our recycling at the end of our driveway caught on fire thanks to everyone's quick actions!
I love my job, I truly do, but there are days that Holman's takes a lot out of me!
The hard part about being a business owner is that even after the fire is out (in this case literally but often I speak figuratively) there is always the next problem / task to take it's place! Some days they pile on top of each other and today was just one of those days!
Signing off for the night late today because even when you put out a fire (or several), the ice cream still needs to be made!
Do me a favour...go hug an entrepreneur for me and just let them vent for a bit!
Fingers crossed for a smoother day tomorrow!
