Posted • Week 3 of the Bloor Annex BIA's Summer Music Series starts tonight!
All summer long, join us every Friday from 6 - 8 pm, Saturday from 11 am - 1 pm, and Sunday from 12 - 2 pm for live music by local artists on the public stage located on the north east corner of Bloor St. and Brunswick Ave.
Performing this weekend:
Friday, July 4 at 6 pm: The Lucky Pennies ( )
ABOUT: The Lucky Pennies lean into their love of roots, folk, and pop with an acoustic set-up: double bass, dobro, drums, harmonica and guitar. Their playlist might sound a bit like if Hank Williams and Courtney Barnett went on a road trip together!
Saturday, July 5 at 11 am: Jennifer Foster ( )
ABOUT: Jennifer Foster is a Toronto singer-songwriter with a gift for emotionally honest, melody-rich songs. Her upcoming album, Powerline, is a fresh, acoustic-driven folk-pop collection that Ron Sexsmith calls “wonderful.” This marks her fourth release—her last earned a JUNO nomination for Producer of the Year (Michael Phillip Wojewoda). She’s collaborated with a who’s who of Canadian music, including Ron Sexsmith, Carole Pope, Lori Cullen, BNL’s Kevin Hearn, Moe Berg, and The Pursuit of Happiness. You might also recognize her as a Jazzagal from five seasons on the Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek.
Sunday, July 6 at 12 pm: Harley Card ( )
ABOUT: Guitarist and composer Harley Card has been a contributor to the creative music scene in Canada since 2003. As a singer-songwriter Harley emerged as a member of the Toronto chamber jazz group; Hobson’s Choice.
