She’s an artist. The kind who’s happiest when her hands are busy painting, crafting, cutting, making something.

When I was asked to make her birthday cake, I didn’t want it to just be pretty.

I wanted it to feel like her.

So I made sugar scissors. A tiny canvas. Edible paint tubes etc.

I don’t know if she noticed every detail. But I hope she felt understood.

This cake was her parents way of saying — I see your art.

And honestly? I loved making every bit of it.
