🇯🇲 5PC Vegan Bites Goes International | Mogee’s Ital Kitchen | Kingston, Jamaica

Welcome to the first international episode of 5PC Vegan Bites! 🌱🌍

This time we’re in Kingston, Jamaica, where we visit Mogee, the owner of a humble but highly respected home-based ital takeout restaurant. More than just a chef, Mogee represents a way of life rooted in simplicity, natural living, and nourishing the community through wholesome plant-based food.

In this episode, we sit down with Mogee to hear his story—how he started his business, what ital living means to him, the challenges of operating a food business from home, and the passion that continues to inspire him every day.

This isn’t just about food—it’s about culture, purpose, resilience, and preserving a tradition that has nourished generations in Jamaica.

If you enjoy discovering hidden gems, authentic food stories, and the people behind them, you’re going to love this episode.

Welcome back to 5PC Vegan Bites 🌱🔥
In this episode, we head out to The Hearty Hooligan, a bold, vegan restaurant and bakery run by Mackenzie and Jesse.

Known for their unapologetically indulgent, comfort-style plant-based food, The Hearty Hooligan is making serious noise in the Hamilton food scene — and we had to pull up to see what the hype is about.

🍽️ What We Tried

🌯 Tofu Scramble Wrap — packed, hearty, and full of flavour
🥪 Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich — rich, satisfying, and a true comfort classic
🍓 Strawberry Milkshake — smooth, sweet, and the perfect finish

Throughout the episode, we sit down with Jesse to talk about their journey as entrepreneurs, building a standout vegan brand, and what it takes to serve food that converts even the biggest skeptics.

If you’re into bold vegan comfort food, real conversations, and discovering hidden gems across Ontario and beyond — this one’s for you.

Tap in and let us know in the comments which of the three menu items would you try first ?⬇️🌱✨

Welcome back to 5PC Vegan Bites 🌱🔥

In this episode, we visit Gia, a plant-based Italian dining experience run by the same management as Stefano’s(see previous episode) but with a completely different vision, tone, and menu.

We head into the kitchen with Gia’s chefs to talk through the dishes and the philosophy behind the food while enjoying a beautifully executed six-course menu that showcases just how refined and comforting vegan Italian cuisine can be.

🍽️ Tonight’s Six-Course Menu

1️⃣ Freshly baked focaccia

2️⃣ Panko-crusted meatballs with spiced tomato sugo

3️⃣ Plant-based cashew brie with red pepper preserves & crostini

4️⃣ Baby gem salad with almond vinaigrette, crispy shallots, pangritata & pickled organic wild mushrooms

5️⃣ Rigatoni Bolognese with plant-based ragù & almond Parmesan

6️⃣ Eggs in Purgatory with spicy tomato sauce, Italian chilies, crispy chickpeas & vegan eggs

Throughout the episode, we explore how Gia stands on its own — distinct from Stefano’s — while still delivering depth, comfort, and creativity through plant-based cooking.

If you love chef-driven vegan food, Italian-inspired plates, and seeing what happens behind the scenes in the kitchen, this episode is for you.

Pull up a seat, press play, and eat with intention. 🌱✨
