A night of conversation, connection, music & poetry.

Join us on November 14th for a memorable evening celebrating The Book of My Emotions by Rayan Khamis, accompanied by two featured spoken word artists and a special guest live performance! PWYC!!

The evening will also feature The Honest Hour, a conversation card game created by Rayan Khamis, designed to bring people closer through intimate gatherings, date nights, and meaningful conversations.

And because good conversations deserve good company, a selection of food and drinks will be available to purchase throughout the evening. 🍸

Last chance to get your tickets! ECM artists Lucian Ban (piano) and Mat Maneri (viola) bring Transylvanian Dance to CONTXT by Trane this weekend. Their latest ECM album reimagines Béla Bartók's century-old field recordings of Transylvanian folk songs through live improvisation and archival film projections. A second set, "NOW," moves into jazz, chamber music and new original material.

CONTXT by Trane is proud to present Romanian pianist Lucian Ban and Grammy-nominated violist Mat Maneri, live for two performances.

They have played together for nearly twenty years, and their ECM album Transylvanian Dance was on several best-of-2024 lists.

Set one is Transylvanian Dance. They take Béla Bartók's century-old field recordings and reimagine them live, with archival footage, manuscripts and photographs from his Transylvanian research projected alongside.

Set two is Now: original compositions, ballads, blues and open improvisation, rooted in jazz and chamber music. The New York Times called their work "a lovely and restive new album." The Guardian heard "its own kind of melancholy beauty."
