Today we’re raising a fork to Ann Blyth, the wonderful actor who played Veda in *Mildred Pierce*.

Mildred’s was named for the film, and Veda has always had a little place at our table, including on the menu with Veda’s Choice.

Ann once came in to dine at our original Mildred Pierce restaurant, and later sent us the kindest postcard from home in California to say thank you. A small gesture, but such a gracious one, and something we’ve always remembered.

With gratitude for Ann Blyth, her unforgettable performance as Veda Pierce, and the legacy she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Ann. 🤍
