Marcia Finlayson received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for Outstanding Community Impact. Marcia was nominated by MPP Billy Pang and received the honour at a ceremony on March 31, 2025.

Finlayson Hospitality Partners was honoured to accept the Anthony Roman Award on November 28 presented at the Markham Board Of Trade's Business Excellence Awards Gala. The Anthony Roman Award is sponsored by the City of Markham and its recipient is chosen by the Markham's Mayor, Frank Scarpitti. The award recognizes business excellence and community impact.

In addressing this honour, Marcia and Todd Finlayson emphasized the 'team nature' of this recognition citing their amazing restaurant teams, the Fabulous 15 Circle of Champions who raise funds every year for RMHC and the community who generously donate to RMHC on an annual basis.

Yesterday the Fabulous 15 Circle of Champions were presented with an Ontario Volunteer Service Award for their incredible work in raising funds for the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital. The Finlayson Hospitality Partners' team hosted some of our very generous donours of our McHappy Day campaign at the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto for the Meals From the Heart program. Our group of volunteers prepared and served a wonderful meal for the residents of the house last night. Thanks to these generous families: Cathy and Michael Riley of Markville Ford/Lincoln, Robert Davidson and Allistair of RBC, Jane Alden and Mackenzie Todd of Stouffville, Sue and Duncan Mathieson and Kevin and Denise Gilbride very generous friends of Todd and Marcia's.

Thanks to our Fabulous 15 team who came out to support: Roger Keeley, Robert Morand and Lisa Ross.

A wonderful afternoon and evening to see how these folk's generousity delivers impact in so many families lives.

Our McDonald’s locations are asking our customers to Round Up for RMHC, rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar. All the rounded cents go directly to the RMHC buildings and programs in your area.

We’re so honoured to support our community!

Finlayson Hospitality Partners are so happy we were able to contribute to the Throwback Thursday Gala held by Evergreen Hospice.

To know our donation can help during such difficult situations means the world to us. Palliative care and bereavement support is a cornerstone of healthcare in a person’s most trying times, and Evergreen’s free-of-charge programs give families much needed support.

Giving back is always something we strive for, and we will keep looking for opportunities to assist our community.

Congratulations to Nancy Di Tomaso!

Finlayson Hospitality Partners want to take the time today to recognize Nancy as this year's Portraits of Giving honouree for Markham.

As a long-time resident of Unionville, Nancy is a firm believer in the power of giving back. Her passion for volunteer work has taken her from the Markham Fair to the Unionville Festival, and most recently to aiding the development of the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital as part of the Fabulous 15 Circle of Champions.

We at Finlayson Hospitality Partners are proud to work alongside Nancy and watch her dedicate her all to every project she sets her sights on. A community is only as strong as the members that build it, and Nancy is a wonderful example of all that a person can accomplish. We look forward to seeing where her enthusiasm next takes her.
