🌟 **Exciting News from BCIT Geomatics!** 🌟

Starting in early April, BCIT Geomatics will be offering a variety of Flexible Learning courses for Spring/Summer 2025! 📚✨ Many of these courses will be delivered online, providing a fantastic opportunity for those looking to upgrade their knowledge but unable to attend in-person classes at our Burnaby campus.

Our Flexible Learning courses are perfect for professionals needing to upgrade their skills or gain job-related academic qualifications without working towards a diploma or degree in Geomatics. These courses can also help students earn credits towards the Canadian Board of Examiners for Professional Surveyors (CBEPS) exemption or certification as Applied Science Technicians with ASTTBC.

Geomatics is the discipline of inter-related geospatial sciences concerned with the collection and management of geographic data. It includes GNSS (GPS), land surveying and cadastral studies, cartography, geodesy, land use planning, photogrammetry and remote sensing, and hydrography.

BCIT’s Geomatics Engineering Technology Program offers a two-year Diploma in Geomatics which will appeal to students looking to immediately begin a career in industry as a Geomatics technologist. Students can also opt for a further two years of study toward the Bachelor of Science Degree in Geomatics en route to becoming a Professional Land Surveyor.
