🦞 What do you do when The Seafood Shack is closed for the season, lobster season hasn’t started yet, and you’re craving lobster poutine?
Well, you pack your bags and head to Nova Scotia, obviously! Because if you’re going to have a lobster poutine craving, you might as well go where it was created. 🦞
Supper at Rudder’s Seafood Restaurant & Brewery in Yarmouth was sooo delicious! The lobster poutine hit the spot, and the seafood boil was amazing.
Was it an epic date night for two people who rarely slow down? Absolutely! ❤️
Was the trip actually for work? Also, absolutely. 😂 We just happen to believe in supporting the local seafood industry… one meal at a time!
The seafood boil was so good that I completely forgot to take a before picture. Here is photographic evidence of the aftermath, though, which pretty much tells the whole story! 🤣🦞
The Seafood Shack may be closed for the season, but apparently, our seafood cravings do NOT take a vacation!

WHAT A DAY WE HAD! 🤩🦞

We sold out of just about EVERYTHING today! By the end of the day, we were left with only 3 chicken burgers, some fries, a couple of orders of jalapeño poppers, and 2 orders of crab rangoons. That’s a whole lot of food served, and hopefully a whole lot of happy customers! ❤️

As our season comes to an end, we want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who supported us this year. Whether you stopped in once or made us a regular part of your summer, we truly appreciate every single one of you. Your support means the world to us!

We’re so grateful for great season and can’t wait to welcome you all back next spring! 🌷☀️

Today is the day, the last day to get your Seafood Shack fix until next year. Open from 12-7. The retail shop is sold out of fresh seafood and the takeout is very low on scallops and lobster meat but we do have haddock, shrimp and clams for the day.

Availability update for Friday, the live lobsters we have left are pre sold, so no live or steamed lobsters, no live or steamed clams, we only have 7 packs of vacuum sealed scallops left. We are out of battered mushrooms and running low on sweet potato fries, as well as running low on lobster meat. We have lots of haddock for fish and chips, which has been a fan favourite.

Desserts for this weekend are our popular chocolate chip cookies as well as chocolate chip with peanut butter M&M’s and lemon cake with lemon curd filling. We currently are sold out of battered mushrooms and live lobsters but have everything else on our menu. Closing for the season so we may run out of items as the days go, we will keep Facebook updated.

The Seafood Shack at Point Star — Season Update. It’s hard to believe, but our season is coming to an end!

The Seafood Shack at Point Star will be closing for the season on October 10th.
Our hours for this final week will be:
📅 Thursday, Friday & Saturday
⏰ 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
We want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers for your support throughout the season. We truly appreciate every visit, every order, and every kind word! ❤️
But don’t worry — you can still get your lobster fix!
🦞 Our retail market will be open by appointment during November & December for live lobster sales.

We hope to see you one more time before we close for the season! Come on in, grab your favourites, or just say hi. Thank you all for making a great 1st take-out and 3rd fish market season for us! We are looking forward to seeing you all again next Spring. ♥️🦞

The Seafood Shack will have pulled pork on special this week, starting Thursday. Get it as a sandwich, piled high on our yummy Brioche bun with bbq sauce, our house made coleslaw and fried pickle slices, or try a pulled pork poutine.
