Growing up in Nigeria, Sunday lunch was a big deal in my family and many others. Oftentimes, the week will be so busy that the entire family hardly shared a meal together. But on Sunday afternoons, we all ate together, with dad and mom telling stories of hilarious times in secondary school. It was a time of connection and laughter over good food. I'm hoping to share this experience with you with our naija Sunday lunch. These are sharing family sized food bowls. You can order the mid-size (feeds 2-3 people) or the full size (feeds 4-6). Guess who's gonna be at Summer Nights Picnic and Play at The Royal Athletic Park? You guessed it! We are! With our mouth-watering offerings. We'll be grilling on the spot and if you've never had Naija food, no worries, we'll have lots of free samplers for everyone.

Summer just got better in the heart of the city! Come enjoy a picnic and play in Royal Athletic Park during the free Summer Nights series from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Have fun with an exciting lineup of games and activities. Visit the sports zone and enjoy some friendly competition with disc golf, soccer, spikeball and more. Each night will also have a different feature activity like inflatable castles, live music, dance and fitness demonstrations or incredible cultural dishes from local food vendors. There will be endless fun for all ages!
