Happy Valentine’s Day!

We changed things up and had a date night in! I cooked and he took care of the drink pairings and music! I RARELY cook like this at home for my other half or myself, but tonight we made an exception. He’s used to getting spoonfuls of sauce, a bite size version of what’s on the menu or the scrapes!

Throwback to an unforgettable moment in my restaurant industry days!

Facebook reminded me of this memory from 8 years ago when I was working in Whistler at the amazing . Before moving to Virden, MB in 2016, this was one of the highlights of my career.

Word traveled fast in the kitchen that we had a very special guest dining with us. Not only did I get the chance to cook for one of my favorite chefs, but I also got to meet !

As a huge fan, this was surreal—I’ve cooked from his books, dined at Momofuku Noodle Bar in NYC, and, of course, binge-watched his Netflix cooking series. A true icon in the culinary world!
