Day 1 at recap!
I attended my first baking convention this past weekend at CookieFest Canada in London, ON, hosted by .ca and with my friend and owner of Sprinkles and Ribbons Shop (tagged),and we had THE BEST time meeting and learning from fellow cookiers and bakers at all levels - from hobbiests to professional cookiers and cookier influencers alike.
The event offered hands-on classes from experts to hone a plethora of cookie-decorating skills, master classes from your favourite cookier influencers, an impressive amount of guest speakers, and even more baking suppliers, exhibitors, and sponsors, plus a cookier icon as the keynote speaker, .
It offered shop-til-you-drop opportunities… and I did… drop a load on cookie-supplies, that is 🤫 🤑…and I did it with a smile 😄. Attendees walked away with just about the best-ever swag bag. As a professional marketer with decades of experience, I am no stranger to giving and receiving tchotchkes, so you can take my word for it!
On top of all that, there were valuable giveaways and a generous amount of traded items between attendees. Day 1 of CookieFest Canada was one for the books.
