About 2km away across the Danube lies Petrovaradin's fortress, a monument from the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which nowadays hosts the Exit music festival. In general, any part of the city can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes, either on foot, by bus or by taxi.
