PLEASE WAIT TO BE HUGGED.
The Spud Kitchen popped up on the Copenhagen street food scene with a potato menu that invited the Swedes and the Norwegians to the party. But now the party is over. The pop up kitchen was extended twice. Because, the uptown food and fashion address at Illum department store made SPUD rhyme with STUD. Our next pop is only a matter of time. Please wait to be hugged. As, Copenhagen did us. Until we hug again. SPUD OUT!😍

When you work with food, tips from the costumers in the restaurant is a token of good service, contentment and satisfaction. This composition by my first time visitors is beyond that. It is care and shared expression of compliments. It's a common sight on social media. And easily taken for granted. Oh no. I'm loving it. The dishes are, The Illum Special on a baked spud and How To Feed a Swede, on fries. Tack så mycket.

The ILLUM SPECIAL is very Illum and very special. It's order in the court. Food court, that is. Lemon chicken, mushrooms, bacon and delicious cheddar cheese sauce. The hot buttered baked potatoes is replaced with large Belgian fries. It's so special, that it improves hangovers and hangups. Like shopping does.

De have rigtignok prøvet Miskjendelsens Dage. Det hjalp dem ikke engang at Præsterne prædikede fra Prædikestolen: at de vare til Glæde og Nytte, Folk troede ikke derpaa; Konger selv uddeelte dem for at de skulde lægges, men see om de blev lagt. Der var, for at nævne Een, den store Preuser Konge, gamle Fritz som de kaldte ham, det var en Mand, og ogsaa han tog sig af Kartoflerne, han forærede en heel Vogn fuld til een af Byerne i sit Kongerige, og lod der ved Trommeslag alle Menneskene samle; Raadet selv maatte viise den nye Frugt frem og der blev paa Torvet læst høit om hvorledes den skulde plantes, passes og laves til; men det gik ind af eet Øre og ud af et andet, Folk forstod ikke hvad der blev læst, og saa beed de i de raa Kartofler: "fy for en Ulykke hvor de smage!" sagde de og slængte dem i Rendestenen og der vilde ikke engang Hundene æde dem, saae de. - Folk var der vel som nok gad prøve det, og Nogen af dem stak sine Kartofler ned i Jorden, een hist een her, og ventede saa at der skulde komme et Træ op som de kunde ryste Kartofler af, Andre kastede den hele Slump i et stort Hul, der filtrede de sig sammen i en Klump og skjød Top. - Næste Aar maatte Kongen begynde forfra, men det gik kun langsomt med Begreberne. - Der, som her! miskjendt blev den bedste Frugt der endnu er bragt os!" sagde Moermoer. "Men nu kan Kartoflerne staae paa deres egne Been! - Nu har de Erkjendelse. Hvad Godt er kommer engang til Agt og Ære!"
Hvortidt har jeg ikke siden ved Meget der syntes at maatte lide ilde i Verden, tænkt paa Kartoflerne og paa Moermoers Ord.-
