Dear guests, friends and colleagues.⁠
We regret to announce that we have decided to close down Tigermom. ⁠
It has been exciting years, at times a little too exciting, but for a mix of financial and personal reasons we have come to conclude that Saturday the 30th of July will be the last of Tigermom on Ryesgade.⁠
We wish to thank the team that has been grinding through these rocky times for the restaurant industry and never stopped believing in the project of sustainable and tasty asian fare.⁠

This summer we open our terrace for Lazy Susan and will be serving a comforting dish, reminiscent of a Chinese grandma's loving cooking🍚. About Tigermom
We are a creative kitchen offering a set menu served in sharing style. The dishes are inspired from the Asian kitchen, and we are passionate about using organic, seasonal ingredients from local farmers as well as high quality imported goods from Asia. Our restaurant vibe is fun, quirky, lively and friendly. We work with natural wine, locally brewed beer and we make cocktails inspired from good by-products from our kitchen to support our sustainability goals.

Your role – assistant manager
- Working closely with the manager and help with daily administrative work
- Help with customer service and booking system
- Leading the front of house team in service
- Training the front of house team in service and wine
- Making recommendations, answering questions and sharing our story with guests
- Going above and beyond to deliver world-class hospitality
- Being a team player and chipping in where you are needed



Details
- Full time is 37 hours a week, includes evenings and weekends
- Start date ASAP

This badass is our head chef Maxine Bird - she started at Tigermom as a casual, moved onto chef de partie, and quickly became sous chef due to her drive, eye for detail and team spirit, among other talents. Max earned her stripes at Noma - where she was aptly described as a "gun" during reference checking. That Noma manager, who will remain unnamed, was totally right. Just over 2 years in, she was deservedly appointed as head chef at Tigermom. Max comes from Australia, and has a background in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, as well as classical formal training. What inspires her most is working with local products and putting a Tigermom spin on it. ⁠

To end the week of International Women's Day♀️, we present you ... ( . )( . ) ... aka our lumpfish roe baos! 😘 ⁠

At Tigermom we bring you our creative and tasty take on what we call "local-Asian" food. To us, what this means is using the best seasonal local ingredients as a starting point and then bringing in ideas and inspiration from the Asian kitchen. We are inspired from all corners of Asia and use our experience in Nordic gastronomy to make a very unique style of food. ⁠

Here you see Chinese-style steamed buns, inside is spring time Danish lumpfish roe mixed with creme fraiche, mint, chilli and pickled mustard seeds, sitting on a sheet of roasted seaweed. ⁠

The women behind Tigermom!
Here's our Head chef -Maxine Bird, Sous chef - Marianne Kleven, Manager - Sara Haij and founder Lisa Lov - Their passion, talent and dedication has made Tigermom what it is today. They've led us through the creation, opening and development of the restaurant, as well as seen us through so many challenges - lockdowns, takeout, reopenings... to name a few. For us here at Tigermom, international women's day is about recognizing and appreciating the achievements of our amazing women-led team, and continuing to give charitably to various women's organisations ❤♀️💪
