Ne Pleure Plus is a gourmand gathering concept inviting strangers to share a traditional French dinner in an apartment in Nørrebro.

When I was a child I always cried when my plate was (already) half-empty, even if there would still be plenty of food left on the table: Indeed I grew up with 3 sisters and my mother was never stingy with portions. I may have learned not to cry anymore, but I

still get a little sad when my plate starts to empty. And I guess it explains why as a proper French food lover I care so much about getting involved in food preparation: just to make sure that everyone will enjoy and get enough! On the family farm I grew up, the door was always open and friends or family were always welcomed to share a meal. We would just add 2 or 3 more plates to the table. Both my parents were raised in large families and I inherited them their great and simple ability to host guests. Now that I left my parents farm and live in Copenhagen, it's my turn to invite you to seat at my table for a night and taste my French way of eating. I cook familial, welcoming, and traditional meals - a season cuisine that draws inspiration from my childhood food experiences and French food culture but also from the Italian, and North African cuisine. Ne pleure plus (Don’t cry anymore) is an invitation to enjoy a good meal in lovely company. Don’t cry anymore, I’ll fill your plates. My table can fit 12 to 15 guests

One of the things I miss most since I moved away from France is the farmers’ markets and local greengrocers selling seasonal, locally grown fruit and vegetables.
I love that Grønne Bønner is so close to home and that I can now introduce our son to tastfull and quality greens and fruits from Danmark 🫜

I find it challenging to cook dinner when you’ve just become a parent. Finding inspiration and the right time to cook isn’t always easy. There are many evenings when we eat frozen cordon bleu, rice pudding or porridge.

But there are also days when I find the time, energy and desire to cook. I want to try more new dishes and share them here, find a routine. We’ll see if I can do it.
Here’s what I’ve enjoyed cooking over the last few months, in no particular order
- roast chicken
- chicken pie
- galette des rois
- Christmas log
- ham and cheese crêpes
- crêpes
- radicchio salad
- rice pudding
- medister sausage
- Christmas chocolats
- granola

I am still dedicating the beginning of 2026 to nursing my son and will not be selling galettes, but I promise to be back...

I don’t usually write much on Instagram because I don’t always dare to share and I don’t take the time.

I haven’t been very active lately because I’ve been busy cooking one of my biggest projects for 2025, if not for my life 🐣

I don’t intend to give up dinners or cooking, but I don’t know yet what is the next chapter. I plan to use this new time spent caring for my baby to think about the next time in my kitchen.

The posts over the coming months will feature recipes from our new daily life, while waiting to return with new projects 🌾

I hardly made any dinners in 2024. This year was more about friends and family. I miss cooking for you, but I also don’t feel like doing it alone in@my kitchen anymore. I want to cook with others and spend more time experimenting.
I haven’t yet figured out what form I’d like to do it, but I’m working on it and hope that 2025 will bring new possibilities and inspiration.
In the meantime, I’ll be sharing my experiments in my kitchen and garden with you here.
