Just a small town girl, raised in Northern Maine, now living in the bustling city of Quito, Ecuador. I love to cook, but even more I love to bake! This page is the beginning of my hopes and dreams of creating a unique bakery of homemade goodness handed down from many generations from my Acadian French heritage. I am always dreaming of home and New England and I miss it terribly, but Quito is where
my home and family is. So, I've decided to do something about it and share a bit of myself and my home to fellow Ecuadorians so they can have a taste of the down home, New England, home style cooking I was raised on. The reason why I decided to call this business Maine-ly Pies is obviously all about the pies! But also because like I said, I want to share the great dishes I remember my Memere and mother making growing up. The smells, the taste and sight of these foods make me feel like a little girl again and I just want to be able to share those "good feelings" with everyone I know and create something special that is also a cherished part of me! So, with all that being said, I hope everyone enjoys being a part of this journey I am embarking on!
