Things

Things Support the platform development by adopting a thing you like! http://adopt.things.info Do you know where things come from? How are they made and where? Do you?

Things.info is about mapping all man-made items and their relationships with environment and people. Who owns them? Who holds them? Who wants to get rid of them? How and where to get rid of them? Things web-platform supported by several apps will show it all. For example you can use Things.info to find out where your food comes from, as well as the packaging of that food, and also find out where y

ou can dispose of the leftover materials! Map every Thing? Imagine something like Google Maps, but instead of streets, buildings, rivers and mountains there are things – objects made and used by humans. This is the essence of Things.info – to create a collaborative web platform where you can learn about the origin, usage, and recycling of man-made objects. Reusing the things we have reduces the need to produce new ones, as a result we use less water, less energy and other resources. It’s personal! It is also meant to be personal – you can create a catalogue of Your Things. Make some of them public – for example those you want to give away, lend out or sell. If you want to get rid of something, for example an old fridge, books etc. You will find the nearest places in your neighbourhood where you can bring these items, as well as the conditions for reusage or recycling. It’s mobile! We’re also planning a mobile app, which will be one of the main components enhancing the usability of Things.info. The app lets you take simple, beautiful pictures of your things. Doesn’t matter if you are a collector of something or just want to share the things most important to you, our mobile app will help you do just that! Any other practical value? Lots of! You can also check out product information while shopping, thus having the opportunity to make more conscious decisions by choosing a product from an ethical production line, made in a specific area or from specific substances. It’s like your own personal little guarantee – having more information about a specific product will literally help you buy better products! For instance electronics that work longer than a few months…

We wish to build Things.info with you! So we’re always open to new ideas and feedback. Join us to build the next big thing! We’re building it so we could all be more aware as consumers! Spread the word! Yours sincerely,
Things.info Team

We are on the right track, although a bit ahead of time :)

Marketers’ excitement about the Internet of Things (IoT) has begun to build, but the world of connected devices still has a long way to go before consumers fully embrace it.

Hey there and greetings to all our old and new users!
We've been busy at work to enhance your user experience at Kuhuviia.ee and we've been doing so according to feedback that you guys have given us.
When searching, you can now add if the item is intact or broken, this is really important for when you want to give away old electronics, clothes, furniture and so on.
Also there are now different logos for different disposalpoints, for instance pharmacies have a first-aid kit logo etc.
We will continue developing our site and hopefully get even more feedback on what to do next!

How often do you use headphones?
Our fan adopted the headphones from our site adopt.things.info
The first pair of headphones were developed in 1910 by Nathaniel Baldwin, who made them by hand in his kitchen and sold them to the United States Navy. At the beginning the headphones were used only in industry by telephone operators.
You can support us and adopt loudspeaker, microphone, music tape etc
Have a nice Wednesday with nice music! :)

Our fan adopted this elegant watch:

Did you know that Elizabeth I of England received a wristwatch from Robert Dudley in 1571. From the beginning, wrist watches were almost exclusively worn by women, while men used pocket-watches up until the early 20th century!
If you want to keep track of the time, so the year won’t pass invisibly, adopt this amazing wristwatch:

Would you like to own the world? One of our fans adopted the globe on our promotion site adopt.things.info.
The sphericity of the Earth was established by Greek astronomy in the 3rd century BC and the earliest terrestrial globe was constructed by Crates of Mallus in Cilicia in the mid-2nd century BC, but it hasn’t survived. The oldest surviving terrestrial globe is the Erdapfel, created by Martin Behaim in Nuremberg, Germany, in 1492. Traditionally, globes were manufactured by gluing a printed paper map onto a sphere, often made from wood. Modern globes are often made from thermoplastic.

Do you decorate your christmas tree with christmas ornaments or with something else?
Did you know that glass baubles were first made in Lauscha, Germany by Hans Greiner?
On Christmas Eve 1832, a young Queen Victoria wrote about having a tree, hung with lights, ornaments, and presents placed round it. In the 1840s, after a picture of Victoria's Christmas tree was shown in a London newspaper decorated with glass ornaments and baubles from her husband Prince Albert's native Germany, Lauscha began exporting its products throughout Europe.
In the 1880s, American F. W. Woolworth discovered Lauscha's baubles during a visit to Germany and made a fortune by importing the German glass ornaments to the United States.
Now most of the christmas baubles are made of plastic, but there is always a good part in a bad story - at least they are reused year after year.
We wish you a beautiful Third Advent Sunday! :)
